Yogi Scott has agreed to host a fundraiser at his annual Pagan Love Fest solstice party.

It's always an awesome party with great folks, good vibes and an inflatable jumpy thingie. Last year we used it as our camp fundraiser and raised ~$1500 (via a bar, food sales, sales of goody bags, a raffle and a kissing booth). This year, the camp has basically dissolved and funds are coming from elsewhere, so the party is available for us to tap into.

In exchage, we've offered to help set up and clean up, and to coordinate the fundraising actitivies, and to have a work party one day over there. He's got a great garden on a large property that is ripe for some permaculture work.

Scott already has decor and djs lined up, and will take care of the jumpy thing. He's announced June 26 as the date, but it is likely to move to June 25 instead (a Friday night).

Going this route does not preclude doing another fundraiser party, either this summer or in the fall. So Geoff, the work that you have been doing lining up a venue is not in vain! Let's keep talking about how to make that happen.

Cool, I like the idea of having an education focused event before the blow out paganathon to let people know why they should support permaculture. sounds like this event is guaranteed to get a jumpstart on the funding!
    Cool!
