Hi everyone, i just heard this story about a community garden in South Central L.A. that is run by over 300 low-income families and is being shut down because a developer wants to come in and tear it up to build a bunch of new buildings. They have set up a website to give more information about what is going on:

Sun, March 21, 2004 - 9:35 AMThe case is in the courts now but the gardeners got a reprieve recently from the judge in the district - gardening my continue until the case is settled. This will take at least a few months if not years. -
