This Thursday, July 27, please join the Environmental Change-Makers of LA/Westchester for A "Global Warming Day of Action" …

This month the Environmental Change-Makers will be a host site for the premiere of a new Union of Concerned Scientists mini-documentary film about global warming in California.
Similar events will be taking place at multiple California locations simultaneously. After the film, we will join a statewide conference call with other UCS activists. You can read more about it at the UCS site www.partylaunch.com/ucs/index.cfm

The Environmental Change-Makers is a circle of local environmental/Sustainability activists. We meet monthly for speakers, discussion, movies about Sustainability, community-building, and positive environmental successes. Our topics walk the petals of David Holmgren's Permaculture Flower; our discussions emphasise many of his principles, and focus on solutions and positive change amidst our urban reality.

Meetings 4th Thursday of each month, 7pm at the Community Hall of Holy Nativity Church, Dunbarton and 83rd, Westchester. Interested teens and older children are welcome to participate. All meetings are free. You may read more about Environmental Change-Makers at www.LegacyLA.net/LA.htm

Even if you cannot attend, there is plenty you can do about global warming.
Here is a well-written list of tips: www.parade.com/articles/w...Change_Tips In anticipation of our meeting, I have compiled local resources online at www.legacyla.net/transformation/
